USE YOUR CONTROL (PART 1)

And the tongue is like a fire. It is a world of wrong, occupying its place in our bodies and spreading evil through our whole being. It sets on fire the entire course of our existence with the fire that comes to it from hell itself.

Every Creature either designed by God or man has its control, our cars have brakes, our home devices have their own remote or control pad, and even our mobile gadgets have a power on and power off button.

There is nothing given to man by God or designed by man itself without a control.

Driving a Lamborghini or Ferrari and then you forget to use your brakes is a disaster. Both the car and your body will be damaged.

Most of the issues we have in life are because we don't use our control, man's control is the tongue. This doesn't mean the tongue as an organ of taste but rather the words we speak.

One actually may wonder how the tongue is the control of man? What happens to the brain or even the central nervous system. However, to talk about the tongue as the control of man implies that the tongue can be a source of exaltation and glory for man as well as his doom. The tongue does not necessarily imply an external organ but the ability of man to converse externally with others as well as inwardly with himself and his God.

This in essence implies that which is particular to us. The most gracious gift of God to us humans, is our rationality. The tongue implies God's special gift to us, which controls us. Just as the book of Proverbs 18:21 adds, "Death and Life are in the gift of the tongue, those who indulge it must eat the fruits it yields"

You can only control what you possess, life itself is not our own, it was not designed by man but rather God gave it to man. To use your control, you must first acknowledge the owner of the possession.

This is the first way to use your control, acknowledge life Himself!!!
