Most of us are likely exposed to the concept of opposites as portrayed in the use and structure of grammar in various languages. We could agree that the opposite of hot is cold, opposite of long is short, possibly the opposite of an angel (of Yahweh) is a demon( there are actually a variety of opposites in this category), but have you ever thought; "What/ who is the opposite of God?". Most of us might likely think it's the devil ( Satan/ Lucifer). Now for something to oppose another, it must contrast it on equal grounds. For example Light and darkness. When there's no light in a place, there's darkness and when light comes it extinguishes darkness. Light and darkness, even if brought together, can not work together. If the light is not bright enough, darkness engulfs it and if it is bright enough it extinguishes darkness. They are just opposites. So for something or someone to qualify as the opposite of God, it must have the following qualities:
2,Can combat God with a chance of defeating Him,
3, Is not from God.
Among the qualities of God are:
a, Omnipresence ( He's Everywhere at the same time.),
b, Omnipotence( He's Almighty/ All powerful)
c, Omniscience( He's all knowing; He knows the past the present and the future, even the secret thoughts of hearts)
d, Trinity( He's Three persons in one God)
e, Eternal ( He has neither a beginning nor an end. He made all things out of nothing by His power and He was not made)
f, Immutable: ( He never and will never Change).
Now there's no proven fact that Satan is omnipresent, if he were there will be no need for the bible to say he is prowling around and roaming the earth (Job 1:7, 2:2, 1st peter 5:8) he would have just been everywhere without needing to roam. He's definitely not Omnipotent because he was defeated once by an angel authorized by God "Michael" and he was cast down with his followers so until he defeats God ( That if he gets the chance to combat with God one on three) he remains not Omnipotent. I do not think he's omniscient either. He was made, he has a beginning; so he is not eternal. He can change. According to saint Thomas Aquinas; he was a Cherub ( Second to the highest ranking angels) but upon being defeated by Michael the Archangel (in ranks, an Archangel is Second to the lowest class of angels) He lost his place in Heaven and became a Demon (the devil). So Satan is not the opposite of God, He's actually classified as one of the opposites of an angel (merriam-webster dictionary) So what or who is the opposite of God? The answer is "nothing ,no one, no god" Satan is very powerful but he's not even worthy of comparison to God. There is none like God, there never was, there never will be. Having known this, it's left to you to choose whom to serve, whom to fear the more and whom to love the most.
Prayer: Yahweh, you who are beyond human knowledge, preserve us in your love.

Nice write up, but in Genesis it was said that the spirit of God moved over the waters. This seems to suggest that the spirit of God was limited at that time
